Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to hear the news today of our brave local Hotshots crew perishing today. These brave individuals put their lives on the line daily and push it to the limit to protect individuals of their community. These firemen are modern day heroes along with men serving in the armed forces and police. They are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect you and me, without giving a second thought and usually go unrecognized and under appreciated for their efforts.
I pray for the families of todays fallen heroes and ask that God watch over this country now more than ever in these trying times. I am honored to live in a country with so many brave men and women standing shoulder to shoulder to provide us with the resources to continue on with our daily lives. I believe we should all ask for forgiveness if we have ever taken these individuals for granted and overlooked the protection they provide. From the bottom of my heart I would like to say “THANK YOU” to this brave unit and offer my condolences again to their families.
Next time you see a man or women in uniform, take time to say thank you and offer to buy them a meal if you see them in line at a restaurant or ask their server if you can pay their bill. If you pass them on the street with your kids; tell them “there are the real heroes of this world, they may not wear capes or masks to hide their identity but they also serve unselfishly without recognition.
Thanks again guys!
